 Welcome to the online home of Sigma Pi Fraternity at Wayne State University. This webpage was designed to help you gain more knowledge about our fraternity, and to keep brothers closely connected with our friends and prospective members!

Sigma Pi Fraternity, International was founded February 26, 1897 at Vincennes University by Rolin Rosco James, William Raper Kennedy, George Martin Patterson and James Thompson Kingsbury. With over 220 chapters chartered across the United States and Canada, and more than 80000 alumni, Sigma Pi stands among the strongest and most respected organizations in the Greek - letter world. The Wayne State Chapter began as a colony of Sigma Pi in 1967. The colony was chartered on February 14, 1969 and has been a leading student organization at Wayne State University for over 35 years.
Founded upon the ideals of Brotherhood, Chivalry, Scholarship, Culture, and Character, SIGMA PI is the experience of a lifetime in college and beyond.

*In Michigan, Sigma Pi is the largest fraternity, a crucial part in college life, a key player in the Greek system, and a widely recognized fraternity on the campuses of Wayne State, Michigan State, Oakland, Detroit Mercy, Central Michigan, Lawrence Tech, Saginaw Valley, Grand Valley, Western Michigan, and Ferris State. Yeah we're all over! ... Today, Sigma Pi continues to grow and graduate the next of generation of leaders one brother at a time.
Being a Sigma Pi is not just about being part of a strong and popular social group, a constant fun hub, a leading organization, a tight brotherhood, or a network of thousands of brothers across the United States and Canada, but it's also and on top of all that, a place where tomorrow's leaders are born, leaders in academics, community service, atheletics and more. We take pride in donating time for community service, fundraising for charity, helping a good cause, doing blood drives, and striving for the betterness of Wayne State and our community.
The gentlemen of Sigma Pi are campus leaders and accomplished students (Student Council members, WSU Athletes, Honors students, graduate students,...) that excel socially and academically and continuously maintain a chapter GPA above 3.0 while making the most of their college experience.
The potentials are endless. The fraternity way of life extends beyond the four years of college because the brotherhood is for life and the Sigma Pi experience is the edge that puts brothers ahead of the rest in the workforce and in daily life. |
